This is a small heater. it definitely gets hot.

It is relatively quiet, but if you are in an otherwise silent place you will hear the fan. It is probably as loud as a kind of loud computer fan.

There are 3 settings: fan only, heat, more heat.
And there is a thermostat which will turn off the heater once that temp is reached. However, in my cold apt, it almost never gets warm enough for it to turn off.

I haven’t yet checked on my electric bill, but i have to imagine that it is drawing less power than the central electric heating in my apt.

This is a great little heater at a great price! I use it to warm my feet while working on the computer or watching tv. Sometimes it actually gets too hot! Tried it to warm up the bathroom one morning and the room just got too warm — had to turn it off. One bonus (for me) is that it doesn’t turn itself off when it reaches a certain temperature. Nothing is more annoying than having an appliance tell me when I am warm enough. This could be a problem for use around unpredictable children or pets… otherwise, it works better than promised.

Couldn’t ask for more. An excellent product in compact size and provides the necessary heating. The body might seem made of flimsy plastic at first but it is quite robust and does the job perfectly.

A single unit probably covers about 200-300sq ft of floor space. Go for it. You wont go wrong.

My only concern was around the amount of power this seems to draw. I live in a 50 yr old Manhattan building and the power outlet gets terribly hot even at the low power setting. I run the a/c during summers from the same outlet without any issues so I think this unit needs some good electrical wiring in the house.
